At Christmas several sites had videos of the game and saying it was in alpha.
So its released?
it did look like a very intense strategy game.
 
Maybe this game isn't so bad now?

It was definitely released before it was finished, but I know they were putting lots of work into it after release... too bad people don't review games like this after a year has passed, I really want a Master of Magic sequel!

I'm going to go look in a couple forums and see if this game ever improved.

Yeah I had a few minutes earlier today and looked at the forums. It looks like the best hope for the Elemental genre an upcoming Stardock game called Fallen Enchantress. It looks like this is a completely separate game that will be given to people who preordered the original Elemental. I guess if you buy Elemental now, you will not get this improved version.

It looks like Elemental was written off as unbalanced and unstable and will never be fully fixed.

Summary: this deal is not hot unless you're really, really bored.

Fallen Enchantress (known as "FE") isn't even in beta yet. I guess this makes Elemental an alpha edition game.

For 6 bucks.... ill give it a chance..
 
While the initial release was nearly unplayable, the current version works fine and is relatively fun. It is completely different than the game at release however, so the documentation that went along with the game doesn't really have much to do with the game anymore.
