Electronicscity.com... Reliable?

I'm trying to find the best place to buy a JVC HX-Z30 and www.electronicscity.com has the best price. However, I'm not convinced if the site is reliable enough to order from due to the layout and a couple other things. They have a VeriSign icon, and it appears to still be valid. They also have a BBBOnline Reliability Program, but when I click it, it says the vendor is not in their database.

I have checked some of the online vendor rating sites and only nextag.com had them listed, but only with 2 ratings. Has anyone actually ordered from this site that can confirm their reliability? It just seems kinda odd that an online vendor would use PayPal as a payment method.

It's a crap shoot. If you pay with a CC you should be covered, but it's up to you whether to chance the hassle.

I emailed them and they replied within a couple hours. They basically just said they've been a local dealer for 30 years or something and just recently went online. Now the question is to risk it, or not to risk it. I don't have enough balance on my credit card, because I don't have much of a limit, but I do have cash I could send through PayPal. Its not too far away from where I live, so if they try to screw me, I will drive there and bitch 'em out.

yeah if you live near by nothing like going there and scoping it out... if they have the product, buy it.. you can always go back if there is a problem.

When I say I live close enough, I mean close enough to drive there and bitch 'em out if they screw me, but definately not close enough to just drive there to scope it out. It's probably about a 3 hour drive, so if worse comes to worse I could definately go there. Its either this place or Crutchfield which I know is reliable but is also 50$ more expensive.

Thanks for the Input
