Electronics question.. time delayed relay?

My bike has a very very small battery.. (triumph 675) On many of the newer bikes the headlights delay until after the bike is running to turn on.

I'm getting the parts/pieces together for HID lights (before anyone flips out, they will be properly aimed and the factory projector lens provides a VERY sharp cutoff). I'm doing it the 'correct' way (adapters for d2s/d2r and all that). This somewhat furthers the issue of the headlights turning on before the bike is actually started since they need to warm up a couple seconds after the bike is running.

Does a 'time delayed relay' exist, or will I need to use an IC to time it somehow..?

Why don't you just put on an actual switch? Not technically legal, but then again a custom timer circuit is hardly DOT-approved either. Just remember to turn them on every time, and you'll do fine.

It's just 'one more thing' to have to do..
