I always read about E3 and wanted to go since I was really young. Now that I'm over 18 and able to get around places myself I wanted to register for this E3. I went to their site and read that it's for trading purposes? Who has been to E3? Is it open to regular people like myself that just like to see new products?

not likely unless you got some ends. i got in because i worked for a pc company and they let a few of us register. i think i'm still on the list too. but unless you are in the industry in some way (the first time i went i was a pc tech) it might be difficult to get in.

I'll probably be going next year, since for the last couple years, I've had the choice of recieving a press pass, although, I'm just a year off the minimum age grr.... but hey.. next year will be fun :D

Unless you work for a game company, a gaming magazine, or a big gaming website, there is almost no way that you're getting in there. It's a bummer, too, because E3 usually has lots of free booze and booth babes :(

if you know somebody with a business and reseller license you may want to run off a copy of them and send it in with an app.

yes you can go, but you have to pay. the only way you can get in for free is with a press pass or to be some somewhat high ranking guy in a company that has to do with video games.

i went in 2000, it was a blast. there was a lot of fun stuff to play with and the booth babes! wow, they were a great diversion to the cool gaming stuffs. i work for best buy so i was able to fenagle myself a hookup t o go for free. three of us went and made a roadtrip out of it.

i really enjoyed it overall but wouldnt recommend taking tooooo much trouble to get there. it is really designed mostly for industry insiders but then again, i was very glad i went.

Where is E3 located and how much do you want?
>>

E3 is in Los Angeles... But since I had school I sold the pass back to the guy who I got it from for the same price he wanted (20$). I was going to only go on friday (1 of 3 days instead of all three, since I don't have class on friday), but I decided not to.

Oh man! I wanna go!! Any way you can get me some tickets? I'll pay you back and give you some more for your trouble.

EDIT: Lived in OC but currently in Davis for college. Willing to take a few days off of class for a roadtrip.

As everyone else said....its Industry and Press only. That being said I will be attending my 4th year in a row and looking forward to it. I do work for a large computer corporation and am considered industry. Good luck.
