I live on Buffett Parkway

I swear it has something to do with the "sold out a year in advance" Jimmy Buffett shows at our local venue

We had to name the road that we built that leads up to the house. So we gave it a name.

One of my friends lives on No Name Street.

107th Street

Which causes tons of confusion for our mailman, because we get all the mail for 107th Terrace, and of course they get all of ours.

It doesnt help that our wives have the same name.

They did try to deliver his 65" Pioneer TV to my house one day, almost took that one.

I once had a horse with no name

Did you ride him through the desert? ;)

My street has a name that starts with W, like 99% of the other ones around here...

Only in South Florida, where Miami has the grid-like street system, and Broward County has some sort of crazy random numbering system. Orlando, Jax, Tallahassee, and I think Tampa, don't use numbered streets/avenues. Gainesville is the only exception to this, with it's crazy numbering system as well.

Floridian on gator drive.
Nice original name, right.

Worst thing is when I'm giving someone my address verbally for whatever reason, they inevitably ask "would you spell that, please?"

Ahh, I remember 28th street.
That's where 'Yen-Ching's' chinese restaurant was, at least back in the day :D
I lived in 49508, which became 49512 about fourteen or so years ago.

My car broke down in the parking lot outside my dorm freshman year (dead alternator). I called my AAA-like service and the conversation went something like this . . .

Her: Where is your car located?
Me: Its in the Slusher parking lot on the Virginia Tech campus.
Her: What is the buildings address?
Me: It doesn't really have an address.
Her: Well . . . what street is it on?
Me: The street doesn't have a name.
Her: I ain't never heard of a building that ain't got an address. <she's getting kind of pissed>
Me: I promise any local truck you call will be able to find it.
Her: But I need to but the street name into the system.
Me: Can't you just put "VT Campus"?
Her: No.

Eventually I just give her the name of the nearest street that has a name . . . and (surprise, surprise) the tow truck guy didn't have any trouble finding me.

. . . and the kicker is, they named the friggin street the next year.
