well, we have it in our bathroom... Its hella cool. Flip a switch and it does clear. However, it was not a film. It was a short lived option from 3m that was redesigned several times. Ours was replaced once.

Ya know, instead of hopelessly refreshing your post, you could try doing some gruntwork such as a Google-a-seerch or *gasp* picking up the phone and calling an auto/specialty glass distributor.

GM has it on a lot of their rear view mirrows so it changes at night, kinda funky at first but now I am pretty used to it.

They don't have it on their windows though. At least not that I know of.
 
Possibly OT: I did work on a Beech King Air a couple years ago... The windows were round, with what looked like a suction cup stuck to the outer edge. You grabbed the "cup" and turned the whole window, one way darkened it, the other made it clear. Thought that was pretty cool. 🙂
