Does anyone know is Electrochromic windows is out on the market or not? Its either Electrochromic windows or Electrochromic film will do.
I want to put it into my CAR...

anyone?
 
I think Lexus offers electrochromatic windows as an option on the new LS430s. It darkens the windows according to the sunlight or even at the driver's command. Pretty cool, wonder how much a replacement window would cost though.

I doubt that you could appy elechromatic film to a window yourself though. You might have to buy a glass thats already treated with it.
 
I really have no clue. I suggest you call up glass factories/manufacturers that deal with this and ask them. YOu may have to get some Industrial magazines or know some people in that field.

 
when these guys have more information on there site, there might be a distributor or two. I don't think anyone has a patent on it yet... are you sure it's in Lexus cars?
 
I read from car manufacturer that they plan to role out new model with these tech on certain part of the car only. Maybe just the sun roof.
 
Ya know, instead of hopelessly refreshing your post, you could try doing some gruntwork such as a Google-a-seerch or *gasp* picking up the phone and calling an auto/specialty glass distributor.

Warning you though, the glass will cost you a LOT of money. Being cool doesn't come cheap.
 
I did. But the problem is, I am not in US. Therefore, I can't call up US suppliers.
I did do search, but its only information rather than selling.
