Electricity is like SEX!

You can sometimes take it for granted. But when it's GONE, MAN do you miss it!

We had a HUGE windstorm here in Eugene Or. yesterday and there are tree's down ALL over town.
The power went out at my house sometime yesterday afternoon and it didn't come back on until about 4 A.M. today.

So at 4 when the power came back the lights all came back on (of course) and woke me up. I sent my alarm so I wouldn't be late for work, and thought "Thank GOD I'll be able to take a shower in the morning before I go to work.

As all is well this morning and I'm watching a auction I have a bid on. It's comming down to the last hour or so, and BANG the power goes off again! ARGHHH

AT least there's still hot water in the heater. I take a shower and go to work early so I can follow my auction, and I get there about 2 min. after it ends. I lost out by ONE lousy dollar! (again) ARGHHHHHHH

Anyone have a old pre 1950's Skip Link chain they wanna sell???
And this one was BRAND NEW too! 🙁
Ended up selling for $32.50

I guess it's back to the drawing board for me and my old Schwinn till I can find another one.

Hmm, I must say that I respect you for being able to use an infrared monitor to post 😉

I was about to tell you to use an Auction Sniper, but then I said, "doh!" Power was out, wouldn't have been able to snipe sh!t 🙂

Oh well. I know the feeling.

We had an ice storm here last year that knocked out power for over about 125,000 folks. This place was out of power for 4 days. Luckily, I had the cash and left town the day after it went out. Stayed at a hotel a couple of hours away until it came back on 🙂

Some folks were without power an entire month it was so bad. They called in crews from as far as Ohio (Texas here) to come and get power back on. Was a real mess. My cable modem was out for nearly 3 weeks 🙁

Brutuskend your in Eugene uh? you know where Bandon is?? Should have been here. It was freaking crazy... 100+mph winds... nothing like the Australia windstorm though. Went to this wreck on the bridge a Semi, was literally Blown over ontop of a 1ton flat bed truck.... And we get there and expect us to go out on the dang bridge to get the guy... YA RIGHT! I was glad to see the sunny calm weather today... Yesterday might have been a fun day to look out the window but it really SUCKED to be in EMS..... but we only had one fatality and that wasn't even from the storm. anyway..... Double overtime is my friend...... especially when I just had 20 hours of it...... 🙂
