Lately the electricity in my room and my room only has been doing some stupid sh!t and its starting to get on my nerves.
1. Low draw AC->DC converters, like a cell phone charger, emit really high frequency noises that drive me insane, only happens in my room.
2. My subwoofer will often make a deep thump for absolutely no reason, I've already done some troubleshooting and found out it has nothing to do with the source connected. Sometimes all 6 of my speakers decide to join in too.
3. Subwoofer thumps are sometimes accompanied by my UPS switching to battery power for less than a second and switching back. When my Belkin UPS started doing it, I thought it was because it was a crappy UPS and attributed the subwoofer farts to my speakers being hooked up to one of the surge protection (no battery power, they'd kill the battery in 2 seconds if there was a power outage) plugs on it. Went and bought an APC UPS and decided to just get a surge strip for the speakers and hook them up to another outlet, but the subwoofer farts continue. Also, this UPS still cuts out every once in a while and its even more annoying than the Belkin, which just made a clicking noise and switched from showing a green light to an orange one. The f*cking APC makes a LOUD annoying beep beep noise and has woken me up on many occasions.
Taking into consideration that this has happened at times when it could wake me up puzzles me, because that's when power draw is LOWEST and makes me think there's something wrong with the wiring in my room or I've got a sh!tty circuit breaker or something.
Cliffs:
1. See above.
