That won't hurt it. It is just a longer lasting battery. Mah tells you basically how much juice the battery holds, so as long as it fits the camera you are ok.
 
Voltage is all that matters.

A higher capacity will simply give you a longer run time.
 
wow...i forgot about this post. but i meant, what are the chances it will explode because its a generic.

anyhow, get this. i ended up buying one off ebay, but for some reason i received four. too bad im an honest person and already told the guy.
 
amp hour rating is capacity

like how big the gas can is, not what is in the gas can

so whether you use a 3 gal. gas can or a 5 gal. gas can to get gas to your lawn mower, it still needs 87 octane gas to run and not buttermilk
