electrical problem

a couple of days ago, saturday or sunday i think, the lights started blinking on and off randomly. (yes, the bulbs work, yes the wall-switch is on, yes, i pulled the chain, yes the fan works) and then last night they died.

how do i find out whats wrong, and how do i fix it? my initial suspicion lies with the pull-switch, which looks simple enough to change, is that the best route to go? or should i check something else first?

Yep. Lowes or Home Depot for something like 25/30 bucks. Get the cheapest one as they all do pretty much the same. You mount a module in the fan and it controls the fan and the lights from the wireless remote. You'll probably have to jump the light switch because it seems bad. Pretty easy to wire. Blue wire for the lights, black and white are hot and neutral and a black to the fan if memory serves. Instructions come with, of course.

Everyone in ATPN tells me that I am trailor trash as soon as they find out I live in Alabama. I guess you wouldn't tell me that! I never install one that doesn't have the remote anymore. Good stuff!
