Does anyone know if Broward County is part of the 18% that has already reported by Florida. If so, then FL is going to go to Bush, if not, then that 11% lead by Bush will shrink quickly when Broward reports.

no, broward, miami-date, palm beach, pinellas, they aren't included

excuse my poor memory, but isn't miami-dade and palm beach Bush territories?

miami-date is high hispanic population, palm beach probably go Bush

Correct, but FL Hispanics favor Bush something like 55%-45% according to Fox News polls and Bush carried Miami-Dade last election, I believe (or at least he held his own).

Being hispanic does not always mean a vote for the Democratic party. Hispanics, being of majorly Catholic faith, do have religious ties and moral values. ;)

Kerry just took big lead on OH, Bush was winning....

Now 56% to 43% in favor of the Waffle King.

Didn't Ohio get rocked by unemployment during Bush's tenure?

Ohio was rocked by unemployment long before GWB came to office. I grew up in the Rust Belt.

Wonder why, seems like that would be a Democrat area - interesting. . . (I saw the same thing mentioned and thought it was odd)

I think some of it is as described by Tiles2Tech above and some of it still is the Eliana (sp?) incident during Reno's reign.

Already filed in OR as well, seems there was a little mess with some DEM Ballots being tossed in the trash.

Lived here my whole life....I can vouch for that. Started around 1998 actually.

Cuban-Americans like Bush's tough stance with Fidel Castro.

Bush up 13 in FL with 31% reporting and Bush has closed to within 3 points in Ohio.

If it matters, it looks like a lot of the local races are going Republican in the Dade and Broward area, with the exception of Wexler who had no competition.

Neither of you is anywhere near correct. Gore got 62% of the vote in Palm Beach last election, despite the 3,702 plus elderly Jewish lifelong liberals who suddenly found themselves counted as Pat Buchanan supporters.

I was watching CBC until I saw that they were projecting quicker than ABC.

ABC is 102 - 77 (Bush - Kerry)
CBC is 162 - 112 (same)
