They call the states early because they're dealing in the millions of votes, not the hundreds as in the electoral college. It much more likely for a swing to occur in a smaller sample size.

I can't stand how people just love to throw the word racist around, making a joke about how Obama's lead will change when white people get off work is stereotyping blacks as lazy people who do not like to work, not racism. It's like people all over have forgot what the term "racist" means.

how can AP call a state declare a state when realtime data says other wise.

According to the AP. Obama won CA, but realtime votes show that 52% voted McCain.
