Elderly Christians Persecuted in China

Persecution at it's worst...right, I guess because they are Christian? In other countrues people are getting massacred in large numbers for their beliefs.

So you're saying that cutting of water and electricity to elderly people, including a 98 year old, and handicapped children is okay because they are Christian?

If that's what you want to hear, although I said nothing resembling that. The Chinese government has been persecuting numerous organized religious groups, Christians are no exception. At least they aren't getting arrested, beaten, and even murdered like members of Falun Dafa.

And I don't think that anyone said that only Christians are being persecuted in China and other countries.

<< No, but I reject the notion that this is persecution at its worst. >>

Okay, so where would you rank it on a scale of 1 - 10?

well i stayed there for a month... wasn't that bad...

I thought that the elderly were revered in Chinese culture.

How much of a threat can a bunch of old people and a couple of handicapped children be to the Communist regime?

culture or government? when the "cultural revolution" took place, the general theme was "out with the old, in with the new".

well i don't think the government was persecuting them because of that, i think it was the religious part that did it. country and religion have often been at odds with each other for power over the people (there's a reason for the COE), and i think the communists are extremely paranoid of losing power (as they should be).
