I'm 5 ft. 3 and weigh 115 lbs. My BMI is 20.4. Thats not entirely correct because my waist is 23.75 inches and my hips are also small. I'm real solid. Most people my size weigh 105.

Ok who is the moron that came up with this anyway? I'm 5' 9" and 164 pounds. So therefore my BMI is 24.256780890187308. To have the ideal BMI I would have to weight between 129 and 149. Ummmm sorry that's not going to happen unless I hack off a limb.

i agree, this thing is a load of crap. im almost 5'11" and 168. they want me to weight 140 to have the longest life span. thats pushing it. i like food too much to be that skinny.

I love those interactive calculators! I was able to determine I only have to grow 8 more inches to get my BMI into the OK range!

I put in my weight at my thinnest and I came out at the top end of "ideal". Jeez, I don't think I could've lost much more.

It may be somewhat accurate, but there's a lot of variables (such as age) that should be taken in account.
