I recently put together a cheap rig for my bedroom TV. It's a 37" LG LCD 1080p set.

I picked up the G530 and El cheap MSI H61 board for $80.00 a while back that was sitting in my closet for a bit.

I picked up the 4850 for $20, seriously, from local classifieds.

I used an old Coolermaster Case form a previous build I had in storage.

Had the Power Supply already....

Had the Ram already....

Only thing I bought new was a 500GB Seagate Drive.

Installed Steam on it last night for first time. At 1080p, this machine was able to be at a Consistent 80+ FPS at MLB2K12 maxed at 1080p.

Will try more games, benches tonight for Curiosity.

You can game with lower end stuff these days, Love it!

Well, ports are mostly to blame.

I also think if you can piece together a Rig for less than $200.00 that can actually run games at ok settings (not all low, better quality than Consoles), then thats pretty neat.

The G530 costs like $55 but is as fast as high end C2D Dual cores... Pretty impressive really.

If you could get a 5770 or ESP 5830, that could help a lot with modern games, modern as in 2-4 years old
