I'm a christian, but I respect those who can celebrate the meaning of this holiday in peace. Fasting is great for meditation and spiritual awareness. My pastor recommends it for prayer. I've done it, and while not quite on the same terms as rammadan, i can appreciate your relief. :beer:
 
Eid Mubarek Kulu Am Wa Intum Bikheir! You beat me to it this year lol.

I ate some food about an hour ago and then immediately my stomach went "ZOMG" because its been such a while. I'm hoping to go out and play basketball later since I can replenish fluids.

I was at the Irvine Mosque this morning for Eid prayers - first time I've been there, and I must say the women were absolutely stunning....errr the Architecture was something to behold 😉 (haha j/k) Nice place, right next to a Chinese School lol. We chanted that one poem " Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar wa Kathira, wal hamdu lil lahee kethera, wa subhanal-allahy....." from 7-8 because things didn't start till 8AM. I got there around 7:30. Then Eid prayers started at 8AM and lasted about 15 minutes. People started to leave, and then a quick 15 minute sermon followed and everyone moved into 'social' mode at about 8:30. I headed out though since I really dunno anyone there. Oh and there was an awesome camaro as well 😉

Well everything is already calculated lol. But some still like to follow the 'lets wait to see if we can see it' because they enjoy that style lol. And the moon was already sighted in South Africa and other parts of South West Africa.

http://moonsighting.com/ Youcan also see that from the calucation here South America should easily have seen it. So its most def eid at the moment. And you don't have to see it directly, if you share part of the night sky with another location and they observe it, then you are g2g. We can see here from this day and night map that if you see it in S America or Africa, then most places are good to go. Middle East also falls into it since the night sky is shared.
