it's the first Foothill Flea Market today and I went there and this one guys is selling some decently new looking 3Com Superstack II switch 1000 for $80 each. It has 24 ports and it saids "switch" on it.. so I automatically assumed it's 100baseT Full Dulplex for ALL 24 ports.
Well, it's not, turns out that only the uplink port is 100BaseTX at Full Dulplex.. the rest of the 24 port is at 10BaseT... but still FULL Dulplex.. I mean.. this switch is pretty good for like LAN parties and stuff... but for transfering large files.. it might be slow.. I donno. Even though it's still a switching network.. I'm use to 100BaseT.
Anyway.. my question is: How much is this Switch WORTH?
and yes.. it is FULLY Working.. I tested it out and it does work.
