so does anyone have a successful Eharmony.com story??? All the success stories are from Match.com

Meh. To each their own, I guess, but I do find it kind of funny how they seem to promise so much on the EHarmony commercials then send you packing with a simple shrug of the EShoulders when you try to apply and they can't pair you.

Me, I'll never give anything like EHarmony a try. Why? Well, aside from the fact that I relish in being a bachelor, I wouldn't really want someone to tell me who's compatible with me. I've had some TERRIBLE experiences with dating friends of friends (who came highly recommended by said friends). It takes the fun out of finding and meeting the right lady on my own 🙂

I'm tempted to see what kind of matches I'd get with this thing... had some good luck with match and even true. Worst ever is yahoo, it's a freaking scam, half the profiles are fake. Americansingles sucks azz too.

I'm seeing someone I met elsewhere but I got an email from eharmony saying I'd got a new match. I went there to close it out and I noticed they added a little tab explaining "why you are a match" and it is totally stupid. It lists the most superficial and pointless traits... "you listed drinks excessively" and she "drinks occasionally"...

WTF, first off, I am pretty sure I never said I want my mate to drink excessively, second, how is a phd and complicated personality survey required to determine that "drinks occasionally" is a good match?

This site is starting to look better, in that I am enjoying the humor of it.

THis is exactly what happened to me during a depressing time in my life. I was really lonely, and they had the "free application" type commercials so I tried it out. Needless to say, considering how depressed I was and having the attitude we all have at one point in our lives (the I will die alone, there is no women for me attitude) - this kind of drove the nail home. I was sad 🙁
