Here is idea: how far did you downclocked it?Try 325/700
325/700 was the stock speed it came with. That worked fine. No artifacts.

Rhagz,
yours came at 325/700, which is same as mine too. Is yours still at LE-GT 1.5V?
Cos none of the 1.4V works for me. Can't even get it to work properly at 325/1100 without showing artifact.
Did you try 1.4? Please help me out here. If I don't have to RMA, I won't.

If they made it 325/700 , must have been a reason for that, right? Nothing stange about getting glitches when you o/c it by almost twice i.e. 1100..
So apparently some batches might be worse than others that they had to clock it at 325/700.Originally posted by: MONSTERUS

Did yours have any artifacts at the initial GT1.4v? Pretty sure's mine's a defective card like some of us have.Originally posted by: Rhagz
I did GT1.4v first, but my memory wouldnt pass the coolbits test over 1084, so i went to 1.5 to give it more power, it would pass at 1100 then. Core speeds would pass up to 440 with both bioses though. Coolbits and RT tests are pretty unreliable though, so I used PowerStrip (great program, but use at your own risk) to manually set the memory higher without testing, and found I was able to run up to 1140 or so artifact free.
What's your specs and especially PSU? I want to double check if my PSU would be causing the problem.Originally posted by: Rhagz
No, no artifacts at all. The only time i get artifacts is when I push the memory up to 1150 or higher.. it starts off with just a few, and the higher the mem speed, the worse they get. I think part of my problem is a crappy psu, but I am happy with it where it is. Actually I found my 3dmark scores go down when pushing the mem clock higher..
Hmmm, then PSU's not the problem. Cos I unplugged some of my components too, same artifacts.Originally posted by: Rhagz
I have a 400W cheapo from CompUSA.. one power line runs to the video card, then to the hard drive. The other power line runs to the video card then to the CD/DVD drive and the side panel case fan. It only has 2 linesI don't have much in my case, just 1 HDD, 1 Optical, 1 case fan.. and thats about it.
Oh, it has 16A on the 12v rail.
Coolbits won't pass any of my test speeds unless it is close to 325/700. If I click optimized with the LE-GT bios, it doesn't need testing at 400/1100. But any underclocking will fail tests.Originally posted by: Rhagz
I just reran the lines to check something.. put one line to all the drives/fan. The video card is doubled up on the other line. I can't even get close to my normal clock speeds.. in fact coolbits and RT wont pass a test at ANY speeds.. even 325/700 fails. PowerStrip is also showing me a smaller green light, meaning that power is certainly an issure for SOME people, but certainly not all, as is your case.

Am I just lucky? Im running this card on a cheap 350 watt duramax case and everything is fine. I put this card on full power 8/16 on every game even doom and its running fine with nothing that i notice wrong. Also if I flash the card, will the warranty be cancel?

PSU brand is Allied/Foxconn.
I will do one last rewire of power lines with my case fans unplugged tonight when I get back.
If that still don't solve it, must be a pure card problem.
Any idea if I could get your IM? Real time chat is definitely more help and immediate.
neither of us run dual dvi ~ so we cant test it.Originally posted by: DaveNCheez
If the BFG Bios will work fine on these cards, wondering if the Gainward GT Bios would work ok on these cards? Im curious because teh Gainward and XFX GT cards both have dual DVI, this could allow people to use GT Bioses with DUAL DVI working..

we are looking to do more mods to the Ultra files so that we no longer need to offer the GT files. that will fix the prob
