Eggnog Recipe?

Does anyone have a decent eggnog recipe, preferably one with alcohol?

Also, which alcohol is best, or is it mainly to taste? I know brandy, whiskey and rum are often used.

Or, should I just buy some from the store and add my own alcohol?

Honestly, I think it tastes better without the alcohol.
The recipe from the Better Homes & Gardens cookbook is good.

I just get a bunch of eggnog quarts, throw a hefty amount of jack or southern comfort and top off the glass with some nutmeg.

For me, the convenience that the store bought offers outweighs the assembling that homemade requires, even if the homemade may be better quality.

Maker's Mark is the bourbon of choice when it comes to spiking the egg nog. If you've never had it, you'll know it's right as soon as you smell it in the bottle.

yea get a plate and put on some cooked eggnog, toast, and some ham and you got a great meal.

It's pretty much the same, you just heat the yolks up a bit before adding the other ingredients.
