I know what eggs are, but am not entirely certain what nog is. I refrain. Mostly, because it is dairy, not because 'nog' sounds like some kind of shit you'd name something nobody wants to eat; see Rocky Mountain Oysters.

I got wasted Saturday... giving liver a break. I have 1/3 of a bottle of rum waiting for it.

I enjoy a small glass each year, but not something I could drink regularly.

Guzzled about a quarter quart of (non-alcoholic) eggnog in one sitting.
(The carton was a half-quart).

Give you an idea weather I like it?

8oz? I'm not sure what that indicates. Ambivalence? :^D Guzzle a pint+ in a sitting, and that'll start indicating enthusiasm.

I knew I was forgetting something.

Still wish had the old family made from scratch recipe, but that was a hella lot of work, the Aunts in the family used to get together and make it in the kitchen from scratch.

Usually Jim Beam was involved I think.

Might get some Bourbon and Nogg tomorrow.

Raw egg nog is actually fairly quick and simple to make. Cooked nog is a bit more difficult and takes longer.

I prefer raw egg nog.

Good article for those who wish to give it a whirl (both recipe variations):
