no, mcmuffins are made with real poached eggs.

Some of the sandwiches where the egg is just a uniform yellow is some kind of egg product made out of a carton, but mcmuffins are made from real eggs.

The price is a problem. Just a few years ago they were about $1.50, now they're like $2.50

My wife makes them at home for way cheaper than that. So yummy on the weekend.

The McMuffins are real eggs. It's the only breakfast item on the menu that still uses them.

FWIW, I lost 20 lbs earlier this year by limiting myself to 1500 calories a day broken up into 5 small meals. I had an Egg McMuffin every morning during that span, as it's a pretty balanced meal and right at 300 cal.

BK Croissantwhich is better. Especially when they had the 2 for 2.22 deal.

I've really grown to hate BK food. It started with their breakfast sandwiches, and moved to the lunch menu. I'm always less than satisfied with the experience, and it costs more than McDonalds on top of it.
