Just received a NuForce uDAC headphone amplifier. I went and downloaded the drivers from Nuforce from this page. I extracted the files. They were encrypted. When the files were extracted from the zip this 'efsui.exe' process popped up and asked if I wanted to backup some encryption key.. ???

Is that a normal sequence? I ran a security app scanning my entire system and it came up clean. I'm a little  concerning the safety of the process. Trojan?

I just now downloaded the driver set and extracted them. They're definite not encrypted. Efsui.exe is the normal Windows file system encryption program. Maybe you accidentally toggled encryption on when you looked at properties or something?

I re-downloaded it and extracted the zip on my main compute and the same thing happened. I canceled out the UI for the encryption window, rebooted and the encryption window opened up with the same prompt asking if I wanted to back the files, etc. Rebooted and it came up again. This time I just chose 'No..' backing up of the files then upon start-up from a reboot, it didn't appear. Same for both machines. I wonder :hmm:

What are you using to extract?
