I have an efi-x PC that has been running 10.5 fairly well for about 9 months now. I ran into some problems a few days ago with the firmware. Was going to send back to expresshd.com for reflashing (there's no Windows-side utility to fix your own firmware if it goes corrupt - ugh!).

Unfortunately, www.Efi-x.com and its forum have been down since yesterday -- anyone know anything about that? Could be anything from scheduled maintenance to a suit from Apple... just never seen it down for this long before.

Yeah, I put $189.99 on "gonna be around long enough to keep their firmware updated." It's been a good 9-month run so far. Hoping the fun continues so I don't have to become Captain Kext.

Site is back up today, but the forum continues to be down. Those guys are kind of crazy about their forum, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a complete overhaul happening. There's been very limited search functionality, so they end up getting a lot of redundant posts. The moderators berate people about it, and delete posts left and right. There's a disorganized string of FAQs and required reading, but then noobs get humiliated for not reading every last detail.
