First of all, do not marry someone you've only been dating for 6 months. YOU WILL END UP APART OF THE DIVORCE RATE STATISTIC

Second of all, that fvcking sucks. Get her ex-military Dad down there and give 'em hell

Met my wife in September 1984, married in April 1985, 21st anniversary coming this month. Generalizations are bad.

QFT! I lived with my wife for 2 years before marrying her...that's the way to go!

something doesn't seem right with this story but i'll wait for updates to pass judgment.

Thank goodness her dad was former military and did intelligence for them. What would she do without a true patriot on her side.

But yeah, after only 6 months, you're destined for divorce.

Ok, I am getting SICK oh this BS. Just because you haven't known someone for very long does NOT entirely preclude you from being RIGHT about marrying them. Hell my wife and I have been married for five years and we got engaged after two weeks. So, get over yourselves! Just because it wouldn't work for you doesn't mean everyone is as paranoid as you are about marriage.

Good luck to you and to her.

Based on what you've told us, I foresee some policement eating crow and the police budget paying for your GF to find a job to replace the one they lost her. Hope that it works out that way.

Generalizations tend to be bad, however, when considering the current divorce rate, marrying someone you don't have a clue about does not seem like the most intelligent move. Those with successful marriages who think most others will have success like they did are living in a fantasy world. If marrige is a must, get a Prenup.

thanks guys and I know we are young, but I know what I want and how I feel about her and thats all that counts.

I will keep you updated on what I can say

Suspended until they have a meeting to discuss what they are going to do with her. What annoys me is she has so many regulars that she brought over from another place she worked at just so she could serve them. Its not like she doesnt have a an awesome reputation. When she was 16 she was training for a manager position at the first big rest. she worked at, but couldnt handle it because of school.

Who the hell goes to a restaurant for a particular waitress? I go for the food myself.

Yeah I could see that. My grandfather always flirted with the waitresses at the restaurants he went to.

Society only produces so many people who will be cops for the right reasons.

We have more than that now.

It sounds like these cops genuinely thought she was responsible for stealing the credit card numbers, so I think their motives were pure. Their execution leaves something to be desired. I'm not sure that they actually did anything wrong or illegal though, assuming they got her consent before searching her car.

I have.... but then I had ulterior motives at the time. 😉 (we did end up dating for awhile...but it didn't last 🙁 )

Yes she gave them consent, but she was crying so bad and was so scared and upset she was just doing anything they said basically. They could tell they could get to her easy and decided to scare her as much as possible.

I can tell this girl is the one. Trust me I dated a girl for 4 years and was terrified of the thought of marriage. But with this girl I cannot wait.

are you the one for her 😛

Seriously.

And you said they searched "her and her car". What did they find? (Are either of you conveniently leaving that part out?) It must have been something if they actually detained her and didn't just ask her some aggressive questions.
