EE's - energy band diagram for a step pn junction...

Is anyone familiar with this topic? I'm working on an assignment and cannot figure out to start it.

The first problem asks to construct (to scale) the energy band diagram for a step pn junction Silicon. It supplies N'A and N'D. I'm supposed to construct the diagram using the doping concentration, THEN measure the built-in voltage from the diagram and compare with the calculated value.

There are more parts to the problem but I cannot even start it off. I spent most of a BEAUTIFUL Saturday struggling over this....

check the examples, shouldn't be that bad. then google.

The examples don't help, they just start off with Evac, Ec, Ef, Eg, and Ev without explaining how they figured out the values from N'A and N'D.

Google shows a few college course syllabi and nothing useful.
