and how are the chicks? the guys? im part of the robotics club at my school, and honestly its so geeky. rediculously geeky. oh and theres one girl. and i think she dropped out. GAWD. im so scared it will be like that! is it?

ohhh man......lol chics eh?...there's like...2-3 chics in my class once...out of....50 dudes.....

if ur looking for chics forgets!!! but if u study hard, do well, get a stable job (50k start! really good for a college grad man..) u get the goods....then u get chics that way....w/ ur brain power and money i suppose....

ahha

EE's the way! CE...meh....do EE first, cuz u can switch into CE...most of the classes mirror each other the first 1 or 2 or 3 years..depending on ur department..and besides, some EE programs, like UCSD's, have a computer systems depth for EE....and there's little different witht that than the CE major..except u knw more about circuits and systems than CE majors....therefore ur a lot more marketable in the job market.....if u want job security..do EE..and STUDY HARD...forget about it when u just barely pass everything......EE is all about having a no life...well, i do hav a life, i post here, be really social, (aha no wonder my gpa's under 3.0..but it ain't that bad...just be over 2.5 and u'll be fine...and know a LOT of people...get to knw the profs..go to company meetings when they happen and submit ur resumes in career fairs....talk to them..intern a lot..get a lot of work experience related to ur major)..

good lucks dude

If you're at all interested in biology, you might want to consider bioinformatics. It's a good mix of both CS/EE/molecular biology and the field will be HUGE by the time you graduate.

Doesn't this all depend on the school (or should I say Skule!) in particular?

For instance at UofT, Comp Eng and Elect Eng are in the same department and are quite similar. The first two years are the same, and then the students choose which route to go into.

Then if you want to do hardcore engineering with a little bit of evertything, then you'd choose Engineering Science. It's so hard that they have their own special counselors and switch-out dates.

Computer Science on the other hand is in the Science Faculty and is not as hard as Engineering. They require less marks to get in and their courses are easier as well.

I personally want to do chip design, but I'm not sure if I should stay in CE or EE for that, however I have time to choose.
