I could barely believe it.

How can that massively huge dude from AHX becuase the same runty little putz from Fight Club?

Seriously...that guy is huge, he has muscles places most people don't have places. And a year later he's in Fight Club.

I didn't even know it was the same guy...someone told me I was like "bull ****", and looked it up. And so it is.

Does anyone else find Edward Norton to be incredibly talented? He's got such diverse roles and he does them all so well.

I think he's awesome.

(And yes before you ask, I'm gay and I want to jump his bones ;))

Yea, he's a great actor. Wasn't it him in The Score, too? I swear, when I first saw him as a mentally retarded guy on the street, I thought it was a real mentally retarded guy.

He gets my props too. :)

Yeah. He was really good in that to. I know a few people that really disliked that movie, but still thought he was great in it.

Yeah, he was awesome in Rounders too. I just watched one of his first movies tonight... Primal Fear. You should really check it out.

I think that Edward Norton is one of the best young actors out there right now, and of all things, he isn't recognized or remembered as much as he should be. Primal Fear, Rounders, AH X, Fight Club (those being the biggest titles) were great, and Red Dragon will be superb, I'm sure. The Score was cool too, although he didn't have as much opportunity to show off his skills.

And yes, I too would like to know his secret to bulking up. damn him. :)

Props to him. He is a damn good actor but for some reason seems to get overlooked by everybody. Still he's good in my books, few actors can play roles like he does.

very talented guy. i watch any movie he's in..

though, perhaps he didn't want to stay buff for his roles? ..like.. a buff priest wouldn't look right :)

I didn't think he was that big in American History X. I think it was the camera angles that made him look buff.

I dont think the camera can do THAT much, he was very big compared to his normal self.

American History X is starting right now on the west coast on Showcase if anyone cares.

Some weird thing with 11 pm EST and 11pm PST...so I think the East coast guys missed out.

But on the pacific coast it's just starting :)

He probably went on a strict nutrition and workout regimen for some months. You'd be amazed by how one can transform his or her body. Also of note, a majority of the scenes with his shirt off were in black and white, which makes you look more defined.

He's an actor. To get "big", he would be provided 24/7 access to trainers, dieticians, whatever he needs. Paid millions, no other responsibilities, given several months to prepare. And quite possibly a cycle or two of steroids. Add in good lighting, makeup, camera angles, and suddenly he looks even bigger.

As for the deflation from AHX to FC, take away all of the above, go on a diet, stop lifting and start running.

Oh I'm not that suprised that he managed to do it. Obviously he had plenty of access to the right stuff.

It's just watching AHX and FC and not knowing it's the same person until after, it's a bit of a shocker.

It's certainly do-able, it's just a big contrast.

I can't remember which movie Matt Damon was in but he did the same thing except went in the other direction. He was pretty healthy but at the end of the movie, the story revisited him and he was an anemic skeleton. He must have gone on only slimfast for about a month or two. :Q
