Educational Software for Children?

Hey Everyone

As you may know I am building a computer for my wife's 3rd grade classroom -Link-. Thanks to a bunch of charitable donations the computer is just about finished.

Now, I want to go and purchase some educational games for the kids but I dont know whats out there. Any of you guys have kids, siblings that could recommend me some games/educational software.

When I was growing up we had Oregon Trail and Carmen Santiago...not sure if they still sell those. Also, I dont think games like Spiderman or Lego Starwars would go over well. Thanks!!

you should have pm'd me ...i had a few 2.4ghz computers (whole thing including monitor) that I just GAVE away😛

edit: actually one was a 2.8, one was a barton 2500, and other final was a 3.2ghz 🙁

cool, thanks. thanks for the offer as well - its okay I got everything I needed. Except for the fact I could use a smaller case so that this giant thing doesnt fall on a kid....but thats another story.

I got some games for the kids....Backyard Baseball and Monopoly. Neither are educational but they should be fun 🙂
