lol the Axis powers of Germany and Italy have reunited to hand down a smiting on the competition.

This was the R8 that should have debuted in the first place 🙂

A BIG +1, I was thuroughly dissappointed with all the reviews of the original R8 when it was released, mayhaps this will give the GT-R and 911 Turbo a run for their money.

I think it's more attractive than the Gallardo is personally.

Truth. The R8 was admittedly an interesting-looking vehicle, and has a great chassis design. The problem was that at the prices they were asking, it seemed very steep for something that barely kept up with a $70k 911 Carrera, and got obliterated by a $70k Z06.

Now that it's stepped up to power that can take more advantage of the chassis stability and poise, it will make a greater counterpoint to the Vettes and 911s in the 'almost' supercar category.
