OK, so it's:

10% lighter
Users fewer parts
Occupies the same amount of space
Gives the engine better fuel efficiency

Again, stop bitching about advances in technology 😀

man. i think it's just ironic that volvo had outdone lexus and mercedes 13 years ago. 9 speed transmission, 425hp, massive rear leg room and cargo space...

volvo's supreme deluxe cruiser

800,000 miles pssh.... take that Lexus.

the front is kinda boring, id rather buy a cls

I'd rather drive the CLS, but I'd rather be driven in the LS. That back seat is awesome 😀

That's a damn fine car. Usually the big posh cars don't get my interest but this thing is definitely cool.

very cool car, but I don't car for the appearence.

I'd probably choose this over the S550 for my possible future chauffer, though.

That's a nice car. But I don't understand why they plastickified the whole engine bay.

Anyways, I noticed the car was launched in Austria, but had Belgian plates 😕

Damn, I'd love to own that car.

The rich now have a tough choice between four cars: the S, the 7, the A8, and the Lexus 460!

I wonder how the h version of this performs though.

only if lexus would release a 2 door coupe in the mid 30 to upper 40 range... i would gladly give up my g35 for it... their build quality is amazing... my moms rx300 is so much more refined than my g35.

You'd think they would make a coupe version of the IS. Generally I find most Lexuses ("Lexi"?) rather bland and lifeless, but they are undeniably killer cars from a quality standpoint.

agreed. i think the infiniti and bmw win in the life department... their cars and suvs are just plain sexy.

Not really into luxo-yacht sedans, but damn....I want one if I hit the lottery.

if you hit the lotto, you damn well better buy an Audi RS6😀😀

definitely a nice car.... "first one to ten-speed transmission wins!" rofls. seriously, how many gears are we gonna need in a transmission? and why not make the gear ratios much larger (larger = lower rpm, higher mpg, right?😀) to promote bettter fuel economy?

1) Your typical LS driver has probably has never even opened the hood let alone cares about what going on under there
2) 99% of people don't mod their LS's to space under the hood shouldn't be a concern

A coupe version of the IS is on the way, as is a convertible:
