But you are forgetting the main point, you have to be a mdget in order to fit in the damn TC. Nice car, but jesus is it small.

I didn't have any problems, and I'm a 6'2 heafty mofo. Maybe I like tight spaces, I dunno - I thought the Celica was a perfect fit :p

I'd rather have a Scion tC with the TRD supercharger :D

40hp for $3k is not my idea of money well spent.

And it'd STILL be cheaper ($2,500 cheaper to be exact) than that damn $22,000 Cobalt SS and the tC already comes fully loaded.

tC is $16,465 including destination charge.

Still not money well spent;) I'm just speaking purely from a hp/dollar standpoint.

You figure that blower is $75/hp.

My main mod was $26.67/hp.

Well hell, anyone who'd take a Cobalt SS over a blown tC is a fool!

To each his own. I'd rather have the Cobalt.

I'm sure Chevy will rebate the hell out of it. Anyone who pays 22k for a compact is a fool.

Oh, and the Cobalt is warrantied with its blower. Its already a proven motor and it takes fairly well to mods, so I would be willing to bet there is more appeal to the sport compact market with this car.

How can you make an assessment like that when the TC supercharger is not out yet ??
Noone have actually tested a TC with a supercharger yet.

Lets put it this way.
Theres no way you'll be able to get a TC w/ supercharger for under $20K.
Theres a chance of getting a SS for under $20K. Not saying you will, but theres a chance.

I like the design of the SS better anyhow minus the taillights. The wing you can take off.

Ditto.

The srt4 is lighter, cheaper, bigger motor, has more power and is faster... who needs the cobalt ss?

I would never consider a SRT until they redesign the car.
That is one ugly mofo. Love everything else about it.

The tC is based on a family car chassis. It's pretty damn big.

Let's put it this way, the tC is $16,465...no haggling, no nothing. That's what you pay. The blower would have to be over $3,500 to get you over $20k

I've already driven the tC and it's a sweet ride even with 160HP. Adding a supercharger will just make it that much better (and there have already been people that have added their own turbos and superchargers). Just check out the ScionLife forums.

Rumors point to $4k :)

Not sure if that would include factory install or not. Which isn't to say it wouldn't be worth it ;)

But then again, why sportify an econobox? Just man up and go pure sports car ;)

Isn't that what Chevy did in going from the Cobalt to the Cobalt SS? :)

looks very very very bland and uninteresting apart from the huge ass spoiler which just makes it look like a half ass rice job

but the performance is very nice

another but, why not just get the new v6 mustang instead?

The Cobalt has a LITTLE more head room, like a inch or 2. So we know you are a fanboy but at least try to come up with a better argument.

Nice car... That would be something I'd buy for the girlfriend... Fast car, but still wont touch the SRT...

But yeah, they are sweet... :) Good job GM!

WTH are you talking about? He said that car was tiny. It's built on a family car chassis. It's far from being small on the inside due to it's wheelbase being almost as long as a Camry (it has more than an inch more rear legroom than the cobalt). It actually has a wheelbase 3" longer than the Cobalt while being about 6" shorter in overall length. Better packaging efficiency and shorter overhangs.

would a 6'6" person fit?

Maybe, they can do wonderful things with legroom in small cars these days . . .

But I like my big sedans. I'd rather have a 4-5 year old towncar for the money.

The TRD supercharger will allow the tC to retain the same factory warranty;)

Why on earth am I defending Toyota?

i hate to be defending toyota also, but the tC with the S/C will be a better buy than the Cobalt SS. Anyone know how much the tC weighs?

Sure they have. There have been many reviews with the superchargers.
