Cars all look the same. Sport utility vehicles all look alike. All minivans come from the same mold. Why doesn't anyone design something different and interesting?

For the most part this criticism is true with the exception of a few standout vehicles such as the Chrysler PT Cruiser and Volkswagen Beetle.</a>

Where is the Crown Victoria? This is why families are dysfunctional nowadays - we cram them so close together that they start hating each other.
 
...for most people, the midsize sedan remains the most practical and affordable way to drive to work or pick the kids up from school.

Nevermind that they're priced the same or higher than the full sized, Panther platform cars, or get the same MPG, or that the larger competition is an Edmunds Used Car Best Bet. They'll just overlook that for this year's test.
