Here is a scan of the article. The title is called Minority Report and it's a hot topic right now. I don't see what's so bad about it. The person is just voiceing an oppinion that is not PC. What do you think?

I think he hit the nail on the head. But then again, the truth always hurts doesn't it?

It won't be a popular view though.

The problem is that the parents of these little buggers don't have birth control. Stupidity is like a right these days. We should take away breeding rights of those who cannot be good parents. Chop it off, tie it up or whatever. Little "monsters" like this never should have been born. God doesn't love them.

Truth hurts. Good article by the way. Tell that guy to write more of that.

It's a pretty well written article. My biggest problem with the liberal point of view is the refusal to hold anybody responsible for their own actions.

Well, if the posts can show dripping as an emoticon yours is dripping of sarcasm.

Enough of that.

Regarding a particular point in the article:

People in third world countries watch an older child starve to death as they give birth to another. Why not breed and get free money and from my tax dollars for it? They are opportunists. Nothing wrong with that.

The main problem I see with the article is that it doesn't display properly and thus I cannot read it. EDIT: NOw it works!

I think it's an intelligent article with good ideas but I can't take it seriously unless there are statistics to back up all the facts he makes about blacks. How do you KNOW they're having sex, selling drugs, etc?

Homer: You can make up statistics to prove anything, 37% of people know that.

Seriously though they can be so easily skewed, why do you take them as the "official" prover/disprover of any arguement?

The statistics are very well documented. He didn't point to them due to a constricting article length.

It was sarcasm to poke fun at people who say kids do it because of how they dress, like "We never used to wear baggy pants like that. How disrespectful. Kids these days! No wonder they kill each other!"

I have never been among the popular view, and at this point, I don't give a flying fornication. Hold people responsible for their actions.

The article brings up a good issue but I totally do not agree with some of the points in the article, the one that stood out was his last sentence, "stop welfare payments, and you'll end the madness" . That is ridiculus, stop welfare is exactly what we do not want to do. The so called "monsters" are barely getting through life with the welfare they are given, imagine what would happen if there are no welfare, the problems he listed will just get will many times worse. So no stopping welfare payments is not the answer.

my 2 cents.

Welfare should be for extreme circumstances. Clearly with the number on it this is not the case. Society needs to ween itself away from welfare saving it for those who truly need it. Of course this has to be gradual. If tomorrow suddenly all these millions of people found themselves without money it would be castastrophic.

I'm glad that most people seem to agree with me. Apparently some classes were cancelled because of this article and a big debate occured. It has become a real big issue with the school and some radio stations have even been talking about it. I don't see the big deal, but then again I agree with what is being said.

I agree. Welfare has gone too far and is damaging to the society, but we can't just take it away in a day. We have to slowly work people off it. Here is Wisconsin there was some major reform that stated that you can only be on welfare for a max of like 2 years or something. This was a few years ago and I don't know what happened to that program anymore.

If it were really that simple, the neighborhood would of fixed itself a long time ago.

First, he incorrectly portrays the 'liberal' point of view. There is no single liberal maifesto, just like there isn't a single republican view point (i.e., Rush Limbaugh doesn't represent all republicans all the time.).

Secondly, he wastes 3 out 10 paragraphs ridiculing a clothing fad. What exactly is the connection between baggy pants and the crime in question? I guess he needed filler.

WTH happened in Milwuakee that day? It was a MOB of children. Why? I don't know, but I bet it isn't just because of one thing. Things like this have multiple causes. Figuring out how to combat complex social problems can take years if not decades. BUT Thank god we have the author to tell us what to think.
