3. Performance/Power/Luxury
4. Reliability is top-notch
5. Good looks (subjective - I know).

TL - close second to a G35 - doesn't have RWD, previous gen's reliability is suspect.

If you get a BMW - get a 330 - the rest of the trim levels (325, 328) you just pay for the brand but don't get the performance (IMHO).

The ES330 is a mushy ride... doesn't even compare to a TL or a G35

Another excellent choice... Does anyone have any insight into Subaru reliability these days... I'm usually not a big fan of cars that have turbos/superchargers etc. (purely from a maintenance/reliability standpoint - more moving parts, more complexity) - which is why I haven't given the Legacy GT much thought - but if someone has first hand experience, I'd love to hear about it.

Will I be able to get a G35 around 30K ? I heard with options and all its $35k or so.

I don't know if they still do this, but they started out at around 27-29 when they first came out.. with cloth.

Don't forget that the G35 doesn't require premium fuel like the TL or 330.

Why are you even comparing an ES330?

positive. They had cloth on the G35, but it was very very rare. I haven't heard much about it since they first introduced the car.

Premium fuel is "recommended" for all variants of the VQ engine (IIRC)... including the G35. The car manuals typically say that "for best performance we recommend xx octane", but you can use lower grade if you like - the knock sensor in most new engines will retard engine timing to control pinging that results from using a lower octane fuel.

Maybe an '04 on clearance or a dealer demo. Otherwise it's around 35k for nicely loaded.

Depending on what you mean by options - but I just did a quick pricing at carsdirect.com, for a 04 G35 w/leather, premium package (Bose, etc.), 5-spd Auto, for 30,880 with an Illinois zipcode. The two big options missing are the aero-kit and navi... I'm not a fan of either of those options - but if you add those, you'll tack on another 3-4k to the price.

Actually, I think the '05 G35's now require premium

In almost every review Infiniti navigations come out to be the best.
I don't know if the new TL has a different navigation system from the older model, but I'm guessing maybe they do. The new TL's navigation system can display traffic reports and find you the fastest route home in traffic.
