Edit the audio of a ripped DVD or mpeg file

I am using DVD Shrink to record clips of a DVD, and then I convert them to MPEG so the pastor of my church can put them in a power point file. This is working great, however, there are times the clip we want to use has questionable language. Is there a program out there that will let us cut some audio out of either the dvd file or mpeg file?
