EDIT: just found out this chip won't do what I need. Guess its buy a pci video card.

My customer bought an Acer 23.1 inch monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1080.

His Dell 3000 with the 865G graphics doesn't list 1920x1080 as a resolution. It does list 1900x1200.
FYI he is using VGA adapter, no dvi onboard. He has no AGP slot in the computer. I really would like to get a driver instead of putting in a pci video card.

In the past when I had this problem the latest drivers usually worked. However, the latest Intel and Dell drivers don't.

So, I need a driver for an 865G onboard graphichs that will enable 1920x1080.
Thanks

That's kind of wierd. What OS?

I built someone a P4 computer, and put XP on it, and it's driving a 23" Acer LCD, 1920x1080, just fine. I think I used Intel's newest driver at the time (about a year and a half ago). Pretty sure the chipset is 865G. The only output on the mobo is VGA.

It is weird. The 845 graphics will do it, but the newer 865 won't.
Apparently you can update the video bios and make it work, but I'm just going to go with a pci video card.
