Best episode of Walking Dead so far this season. No one watched it?

I am ashamed to admit I had such a busy evening that I completely forgot it was on. I hope this does mean I lose my 'Walking Dead' thread post rights. I promise I will watch it tonight !!

I have a love/hate relationship with this show. The comic was great, for a long time, and in my opinion, the comic is much better than the show. However, the comic has become a bit stale as of late.

One thing that perhaps I missed in the show, or maybe is not the same as the comic, but when you die, you become a zombie....Even if you were not bit. Of course classic zombie rules apply, but this was a bit of an interesting twist anyway.

My biggest gripe with the current story is that they took what felt like forever to find Sophia. That could have been condensed considerably..

To waterjug, I can appreciate what you said about the current story, but the things that happen in the story are happening for a reason, they are trying to develop the characters a bit more to show how human, or in some cases, how inhuman people can be. I am giving it the benefit of the doubt, but honestly I am losing my interest.. waterjug, if you have not read the comic, please don't, you will hate the show even more. That I promise!

Did anyone catch the preview during The Talking Dead episode last night? Rick and Shane were standing by a large fence that had a zombie police officer walking around inside... One thing I noticed that zombies must have enhanced sense of smell so they are able to smell blood, I suppose like a shark...Go figure.. Anyway, If they found the place that I'm hoping they found, the story is about to pick up.

Episode wasn't bad. Stuff going on, drama fit the situation. Next week's episode also looks pretty good; that is, they're not on the farm or in the woods the entire episode.

It's starting to look like the first half of the season was filler, and they did it just because AMC told them they had to make more episodes with less money. Get the contractual bullshit done, then get on with the story...

You guys are failures as pragmatists and utilitarians. Shane is the man.

They've taken Shane past pragmatist and mild sociopath to straight up crazy at this point. Rescuing the guy on the fence was dumb but I guess they needed a way add some new characters to the show. I'm pretty sure the black guy got eaten two episodes ago and they forgot the tell us.

But what Jenner told Rick forced Rick to do the double tap.

What Jenner told Rick (I'm guessing) is that they are ALL ALREADY infected with whatever is turning people into zombies....

didn't look like it to me. in the one recap, you clearly see he shot the fat dude in the shoulder 1st, then the stomach. the head shot was to make sure he was dead, not to prevent zombie-fication. otherwise why wouldn't he shoot the other guy in the head?

I think Shane makes this show personally. He hasn't done anything yet that I would consider "bad". Situation like this, you do what you have to do and look after yourself first.

it looked like he shot him in the head with his first shot

The last episode was better, but still not great. They really need to get on with the damn show. Have a purpose. And a purpose isn't sitting on the farm doing nothing. And I dont give a fuck about that baby. I don't want to watch the next half a season revolve around them preparing for a baby to be born. Fuck that baby. I want to see warfare between cities. More zombie killing. Traveling to new places. New characters being introduced. People dying. I don't want to watch a show about farmers that don't even farm.

So, in other words, Jericho with zombies? If I remember right, that show got canceled in it's second season... and I was surprised that it made it to a second season.

Damn right! Fuck that baby! Unless that baby is born a fucking zombie and chews its way out of that whore Lori's stomach, I don't give a crap about it!

They stay at the farm for the rest of this season.
I think they are going to the prison next season.

Michonne is coming, end of this season, or beginning of the next one.

(This one is possibly a real spoiler, and not what happens in the comics)
Shane and Dale are likely going to die this season. Once Michonne arrives, I expect the token black guy to be killed off.

So you want a farming episode?

Since those of us who haven't read the comics don't know about this prison, or whoever Michonne is, I guess yea, it would be a spoiler.

I'm not sure how this hasn't sunken in yet, but 90% of the people in this thread haven't read and don't give a shit about the comics. Can you fuckers stop posting spoilers from the comics and then saying that it may or may not happen because it's different? Well if it does happen, then those of us who didn't read the comics aren't surprised because it's been talked about here. I'd rather not know. Or at the very least put something before your spoiler tags that the spoiler you're posting is from the comics not the TV show.

I think they hinted at it, on The Talking Dead, which is about the show. I know the question has been asked.

If you haven't read the comics, then it's just a name. Is it really surprising that they might meet someone else who joins them?

Even reading the comics doesn't let you know, because they have cut lots of character who were in the comics. I think almost a dozen characters have been left out of the TV show.

I don't know who/what that is, so yes?

As others have said, this is a thread about the show, not the comics.

You shouldn't forget that without the comic, the show would not exist... What is the harm comparing the comic to the show?? They have already shown time and time again that the show varies very, very differently from the comic. Though...To be fair..I suppose this thread is about the show.

**started new thread to talk about comic and show**

I want Lori to die off, she is the worst actress ever (also hated her in prison break). They also make her a friggin' retard in this show.

I would like to see Lori and Shane die off. I would like to see 2-3 more people get picked up.

I also sometimes wish they would talk about logistics of what they have...fuel wise, ammo, food, etc. It would be interesting to know about that stuff.

I am surprised they do not pillage run down shops more often. I know in resident evil I turned over every damn dresser/bed/drawer to get whatever ammo I could.
