I didn't want to wait anymore as well even though I have a feeling more drops will occur for awhile..but I had a feeling that retailers will jack up the prices when the opportunity is given all the way till December. Jumped on a 4600+ to carry me atleast until the end of 2008.

Got my 4200+ yesterday, and messed with it a little.
Sitting at 250*10 Default vcore 5:6 2/3/3/2-1T. Idles 34-36C full load hit 51C in a closed up room last night.
It ran 2 instances of Prime small FFT for over 12 hours.

I'm off to do a Stage 1 Gentoo, and see how that goes.

I tried out the Q4 SMP, and it made a good bit of difference. I also encoded a DVD and the time was literally cut in half.
Happy with my purchase so far.

What BIOS did you use for that? I have the OWC BETA8 installed. It allows me to use HT into the upper 350s. It has warm-reboot problems over 250 though, and USB problems over 300.

Thanks avi, I think I got them all changed.

Does someone want to take the vendor/price codes from my post and make a new one at the hot deals if one isn't there yet? Could help some people over there. Just a thought :) I don't have the time to keep up on another post.

I made a couple more price updates. Prices appear to be keeping stable for the most part now. I may do a couple more checks and leave it be. Thanks for the help in keeping the post updated :)

I could not take it. I had been looking at the same combo from Mwave as Zebo. Board has Great reviews. I hope mine OC's as well as his. I could not see throwing out my 6800GT AGP it runs great for a 19" LCD (1280 x 1024) but I need room for a upgraded PCI-E in the future. Besides this will give my kids pc new life by replacing there XP2500 with my 3500+ it should run fine on ddr333. My only question is what board will OC better the Asrocks 939dual or my existing Asus A8V- deluxe Rev2 and Ideas Zebo maybe?

Is that any substance to rumors that the newer X2 3800+ don't OC as the older ones?

I've heard that statement on a few forums, but find it hard to believe based on some of the results I'm seeing. Honestly, I tend to disregard most statements passed off as fact on any forum with Extreme in the name. :)

I know that OCing is always luck of the draw, but I'm about to pull the plug on a X2 3800+, but can't decide to go with Newegg or ZZF.

Man go with the 4200+ from ZZF.....here 2 day shipping is 1.99 extra plus you get a copy of AOE3(even if u have it sell it back on the forums or ebay)

Mine is coming tomorrow and all for 186.99....you get a better multi for only about 30 bucks more(which u can make back by selling AOE3)...it's worth it

ZZF is still including AOE3 with the s939 4200+? I didn't see anything about it when I added the 4200+ to checkout.

It is added to the s939 orders and when you actually checkout. It doesn't put it in right away.

Thanks alot avi :) I believe I have everything up to date :)

RiverSide, there are a couple places that have the 3800+ X2 just below $150. Or a couple used too. eWiz had it in the $148 range, but I think they rose it to $150 or so.

Another round of price updates. Couple places getting alittle antsy with their prices. eWiz are holding the 3800+ X2 s939/AM2 cpu's in the upper $140's. That includes 5-7day FedEx shipping too.
