this was a very important pi day. it was the last one for 100 years that will have so many digits across the clock.

It also only works in the US, and only because of the ridiculous way you write dates!
Nobody in the sensible world (i.e. the rest of the world) had such a day.

Pi Day is for people who don't know how to arrange things from smallest to biggest. Not even pie season either. No fresh fruits. :(

Most who mention pi day identify themselves as nerds. And most people who identify themselves as nerds have very few, if any, math skills.

Proper date notation really should be "YYYY-MM-DD." That way, things actually sort correctly. I do it that way almost exclusively in my writings.

3.14 is all I know off hand. It's good enough for most calculations. Especially if you're rounding off to cm anyway. And yes, I do suck at math. :p

If you missed the last one you can still rejoice tomorrow at 0702 hours. That's pi in base eleven, out to 8 decimal places. Don't miss it, pi in base twelve will take a few more decades.

Therefore, people who mention Pi day most likely suck at math! :(

Goes to drown sorrows by watching Kentucky vs Arkansas with the hopes of running the math to 34 - 0 and beyond!

Undefeated....and beyond

This thread is no longer about Pi.

I would laf my ass off if KY didn't win it all in march madness.
there is sooooooooooooooooooo much hype about them.

yes, they're the #1 seed overall by a WIDE margin but can they take on Michael Jordon, shaq, le bron, and kobe at their current ages? :p

Happiest day ever was my 10 year ol' boy telling me it was Pi day and that he wanted Pie. He understand the math. I asked him if he was taught about the relationship of diameter to circumference and he got it!
