What about just using a SE update CD for 98? People had genuine MS 98se update CDs at the last swapmeet i went to for $5 each.
 
Yes!! But maybe thats just me. The win98 (upgrade no less) that came with my computer works with win98se.
I didn't buy win98se but I think the very fact the key worked means microsoft thinks im entitled to it. The only way to know if it will work is to check.
