Tired....worked 32 out of the last 33 days...and 20 straight.....about 20 of them at 12 hours per day...and many others at 10. :(

Why don't one of you "refreshed" people put my system together for me?

2.8GHz P4 800FSB CPU, Intel D865GBF board, 512Megs (2 x 256) Corsair PC3200 value ram, 40GB drive, Antec Case with 400W Antec supply, Old GF2 video card, and 3COM NIC (not sure If I need this or not...may have onboard LAN).

PURDY PLEASE! :p

Sorry to post nutty stuff...just so tired....

P.S. I especially feel for the rest of you like CkG and Crazee....I truely understand the overworked feeling! :(

I would think an "Elite Member" would be able to put a computer together in his sleep. Kill 2 birds...
I guess Elite status isn't what it used to be

I put mine together today. I did it while fighting with POP3 connectors and bulkhead servers in SBS2003.
Talk about eyes crossing. Where do they come up with this stuff?
And with all the fancy wizards in windows you think they could come up with a point and click interface to do that stuff.

You're looking forward to putting together a top-of-the-line system tomorrow, while I'm hoping to scrape together a few minutes to clear off some space on my desk to get a 500mhz Celeron setup running (caseless, since I only have two cases, and they're in use).

It's amazing what we'll put ourselves through just to increase our production. All for the almighty WU! ;) :D

Anyway, get some rest, and when you come home from work tomorrow, have a drink of your choice and get to work on that new rig. :p

Well, if it wasn't for the forecast of more freezing rain and sleet tomorrow, I'd shoot on down I-64 and help you out.

I'll just sit here at home and hope the Cards are back to full health and get back to winning!

Oh yeah...why not introduce Mrs. Engineer to the joys of building a PC? :)

If you knew how much Mrs. Engineer couldn't stand the PC's in the house.....:Q :p

;)

She would build it alright.....right in the trash can! ;)

P.S. I'm only (ONLY) working 6 hours today.....and won't go back until Monday! ;) :D

hmmm..... the "trash can pc" mod... wonder if it's been done yet???
I know the "throw it out the window" mod has been done, the "kick it in the motherboard" mod has been done, the "hit the HDD with a 240 grain 44mag slug" mod has been done ;) :p :p :p

Not knowing where Robert keeps the spare parts that might be needed in the building of a PC, networkman gathers up all of the pieces and handily brings them back to his own house to assemble, promising to be done by the end of the week.....THIS SAME TIME NEXT YEAR!! :Q :D

Engineer, glad to hear you're getting a break from work....now about that "honey-do" list while you're sitting doing nothing...:Q;):D

Josh, I've got a couple of older style cases sitting here, was going to toss them out...don't know what shipping would be, but you can have them if you want...they have psu's in them too, but may only be 200w-250w psu's. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer, but shipping would probably suck (the funds from my wallet). :(

Besides, I'm trying to spend as little as possible now, to save for (hopefully) a dual Opteron with Tyan K8W, a few gigs of RAM, SATA drives on hardware RAID 5 (perhaps), a workstation-class video card, and more. Sound like a good potential cruncher? ;) :D

Oh, and to get back on topic... Glad to hear the new cruncher has been born successfully. May it have a long life and produce many WUs!

2 WU's returned...both were .426 range and had a time of 3:26 each. Not bad....

If that holds up...it would be 14 WU's per day! :D

Plus....sending my processors from my dead Duallie (RIP) to DM and JW...one is back up (5 - 6 WU's per day)...and the other will be next week! :)

Also, added a PIII 550 and a PIII 450 laptop this week! :)

Every WU counts! :D

Also, send Duallie board to a TeAmmate....if he get's it going, a few more WU's for the TeAm! :D
