Edit is borked?

Sometimes when I edit, and then decide to re-edit some more, when I click "edit" (on the updated forum post), then the window that pops up only has my pre-edit text, it doesn't have the most recent edit included. So attempting to re-edit causes me to lose my previous edit, if I went through with it.

Hmm. I've never been able to reproduce this. What browser and platform? Sounds like your browser may be trying to store the textarea and it restores it the next time the field comes up (i.e. AutoComplete feature).
 
IE7 on XP SP2, and Firefox 1.5.0.x (not sure of the x) on XP SP2 as well. Both do it, I have autocomplete stuff turned off.
It's like the updated post gets updated on the web server but not the DB server or something. If I wait a while it seems to finally update.
