Edit: How to turn off SAP??

I downloaded the drivers from the site, and tried to install the card, but Windows says that it cannot install the drivers because it can't find the software. What is going on???

Ooops, forgot to mention I have Windows XP Pro, with SP1, DX 8.1.

Switch over to manual, and then point Windows right down to the INF file(or folder, as the case may be) that the drivers are part of; that usually does the trick.

Go to that one hardware manager and right click on the unidentified things, then you can either apply or update its drivers. I don't remember which ones. It'll probably be an unidentified object or something on the list. Sorry I can't say in detail, but I'm feeling lazy today...

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I know how to install hardware!!

Make sure your remote sensor is plugged in to the correct jack in the back. Mount the sensor on your monitor and you should be able to control the tuner remotely.

It works fine in another PCI slot 🙂. I just need to figure out how to get the remote to work.

Thats good to hear 🙂

Also, with the last post I didn't meant to insult y ou by telling you how to install the hardware but I'm used to talking at that level because 99% of the time, that fixes it because the person can't install. 🙂

Everything works fine. I don't know what was up with the remote.. right port and everything. But it works now! This is so much better than my old Pinnacle piece of crap!!

I didn't take it as an insult 🙂. I was just messing around.

Anyone know how to turn off SAP?? It turns on when I record.

Nope. And I haven't found anyone with a solution to that problem. Leadtek "support" is non-existant, as are most card makers.

I get the SAP problem on a couple of stations. Worse yet, on one particular station, I get either SAP or, if there is no SAP in the program, a solid continuous tone in the background instead. I've tried using both the factory software, as well as 3rd party aps :/
