CompUSA has the MX700 for $59.99
PM to Staples.com...Total after 110% PM is $57.99
There are various coupons available (3 to be exact) on another site to have this shipped to you for $37.99
There is also a Logitech rebate for 20%, so there's another $7.60 in your pocket bringing the total deal to $30.39.
HOT!
The rebate is valid until 1/31/03 and is also readily available on said "other" site.
This is confirmed and validated, LOL.
Happy shopping.
:)

Very interesting deal.
I'm gonna have to try this and have read lots of good reviews bout it. My original MS Expolorer's starting to die out on me so I need a new one soon.
Only thing that concerns me is the weight of it. Is it considerable heavier then a regular mouse?
Thanks

How did the coupons work out? You can't say any codes, but you can atleast say "coupon 1, a $50 off $20, coupon 2, free shipping on $50 purchase, etc." How did you get $20 off? I see no coupons on any coupon site other than for free shipping.

This mouse is awesome.... it uses rechargeable batteries for the dock which doubles as a IR reciever. The buttons are made of one piece of metal (aluminum composite or something) and therefore has a smaller affinity to break (gamers you know what I'm talking about, you've probably been to a cafe where the mouse bottons were all clicked out with a weak spring).

Good Find!

This is a great deal, I'd jump all over it if I didn't already have one :D If you ever had reservations about a neutered, erm, cordless mouse, this'll change your mind about em :)

Nice find joecav, I know you'll enjoy it :D

Maybe I'm just an amateur, but I can't find any of the coupons! I want this mouse! Any hints on where to find them?

Been said over and over, but it's a great mouse. I bought mine last month and while it did take my smallish hands a about two weeks to get used to it, I'm totally used to the ergonomics now. It has great tracking, unlike some other opticals that spaz out when you jerk it around too quickly.

i have repeated this a MILLION times with everyone who posts PM+coupon deals at staples.

STAPLES ONLY ALLOWS PRICEMATCH OR COUPON, NOT BOTH.

edit: you people should take time to read and print out pricematch policies at any and every store. Its more power to you.
edit #2: the ONLY stackable coupons on staples purchases are those that are business rewards coupons which are given to customers who are staples business rewards members that have spent a certain amount at staples to receive the coupon. The coupon is for one time use only.

This deal DOES work, b/c I DID IT YESTERDAY!

The coupons to look for are 10 off 50
5 off 5 (Stackable)
5 off 5 (Stackable)

That gives you 20 off 50.

man i tried to get this deal. everything was going alright but for the fact that the 2 $5 0f $5 coupons go into effect on the 18th...which just sucks...so my total was like 47.99 plus tax..so i guess i am gonna try back again..for this price match on the 18th...

Curious...I assume you guys doing the PM over the phone? And at the same time you guys are giving the CS 3 coupon codes at once and they don't say anything? If so, then I guess the CS people sometimes con't follow their own policies? It says right on their website which is what tokar is also referring to.

I got this mouse around Christmastime, and I love it. The only problem is it eats those batteries rather quickly, so if you forget to charge it overnight for a few nights in a row, it'll be drained. Fortunately I always keep a spare set of AA's charged, so it's not too big a deal.

One thing I didn't care much for is the default settings for the buttons. I changed the ones above and below the scrollwheel to page up and down, and that comes in quite handy.

Ok, enough rambling. Get this mouse, you won't regret it.

Great mouse...I got one for $37 from an Office Depot deal a while back last October. I would go for another...but I just don't feel like dealing with PMing and some of those idiotic Staples CSR's :|

Anytime you are trying something like this, it's hit or miss. The CSR I got admitted to me it was her 1st day taking live calls so that was a factor I guess.
The 5 off 5's seem to be giving peeps trouble. I wonder why mine went through?

It is heavier. However, you get used to the weight really fast. It's actually nice for gaming, including FPS's. I liken it to being steadier when you're firing a heavier gun. The extra mass helps stabilize you. Having a good quality mousepad, like a Ratpad, helps, too. And, of course, the lack of bother or resistance with a cord really helps. I got mine for about $40 on the BB deal. I might try this one, too.

They didn't flag the deal and the coupons yet ;)

Just an FYI, every SKU that is PM'd by Staples is stored in a real-time database/record that allows other CSRs to see like-kind transactions. This can be good an bad, if they have been allowing the PM and coupons to go through, you will have little or no trouble. If they have flagged it and noted to deny it, you are fighting an uphill battle.

As for the person who said they would charge next-day shipping, tell them it is also available at the CompUSA B&M stores, but you happened to have an online-only coupon. Its worked in the past.

Word is getting around that if you ordered online Staples is calling back saying they are adding the $16 overnight shipping charge to the PM.

So if you ordered online just go to the store.
