MX 500 no lights

The funny thing is, if you turn the mouse over the light is bright as hell, it shines all the way across my room.

I've got a Dual Optical mouse. That'd look nifty with two of them doing color shifting under it...at least if I could really see the light under it. Guess I'm not a mouse modder at heart. 😛

lol you guys have too much time on your hands if you care about what colour, and if any light from the LED shines from your mouse =) too funny!

p.s- the MX500 is awesome, but thinking of grabbing the new MX900 blutetooth, or the ultra-comfortable Microsoft bluetooth mouse (which are both finally out! .. was holding off buying a wireless mouse until bluetooth was available because of response times)

I don't think bluetooth will give any advantage over conventional wireless in terms of response time. If the mx700 is cheaper, go for it. You'll be pleased. 🙂

They are the same size.
If you open up a MX500 you`ll see its pretty "spartan" inside, where as the MX700 has alot in it.
Same casing. Its cheaper for Logitech to use the same case on two models of mouse.

now what you need is a everglide optical clear mousemat that will let your blue led shine through🙂 sweet aura effect! from everglide.com obviously, good stuff.

Yep, I missed the MX500 sale at Staples, a month or so ago, so I picked up a MX310. Best money I've ever spent (and I don't game much currently). It's, light, accurate and doesn't stress my hand. I'm seriously considering buying one and bringing it to work.

i have a Cordless MouseMan Optical none of this MX crap for me. this one works just fine and its not shaped all stupid

The best MX500 mod is the one i saw, where soone changed the silver color on it to orange, it looked damn good, and they did a perfect job...
