I am sure at this level it's not the cost of the repair that's the issue.
Any time an Enzo is totalled I think all the rest go up $50k in value or something.
Those that buy these cars fall in 3 categories: The guy that stretched himself thin to buy it (for the Enzo, usually you get excluded due to demand by more promising buyers), The guy that loves to collect Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars in real life and usually has never even driven it, and the guy that wants it for it's performance or luxury and drives it whenever the use warrants it.
Here in S. Florida you see a lot of 6 and 7 figure cars rolling around. You see some of these at the local test and tune days and SCCA meets as well and you see them jacked up.
A Supra is not in the same class as these cars, but a guy locally had one he had about 100k into...turned 10's easy. He hit some antifreeze the prior GTO dumped on the track and launched sideways over the hill and into the canal behind it at the track.
He was totally fine and on his cell 'ordering' a new one as soon as he was out of the water. Some redneck came up and told him that car's owner is going 'skin your black as$' when he finds out his driver was a @)@(@. Outside of the beat down that guys entourage laid down, everyone had a good night. He also brought a Lexus GS that turned almost an equal time.
The PCA guys are wrecking a lot as well. Those are not in the 7 figure range, but these guys don't have a problem screwing up a 120k Porsche.
