Money supply is a balance of trade. He spent more than he had and it's just that simple.

I'll feel sympathy when he's homeless and living on the streets in L.A. He's made too much money over the years for me to feel sorry for possibly losing a multi-million dollar home. I'm sure he can downgrade to a couple million dollar home and still be better off than 99% of the rest of the world.

Also...bet he didn't see this coming in a hermetically sealed mayonaise jar on the porch of Funk and Wagnalls since noon.

Wow...I'm never seen such a bunch of asses.

The guy has been trying to sell his house for years because he can't afford to live there anymore. He lives next to Britney, and is having a hard time selling. He broke his neck two years ago and has probably dumped his remaining money into health care. He hasn't worked steadily in nearly 10 years, so the money dried up.

I really don't think they guy was living beyond his means, it's more like he's had some bad luck. But- because he used to be rich, we're going to get the typical ATOT "I only make $200/month, so screw him!" response.

Pretty sad how low ATOT can go. I know they can go lower, I'm surprised noone said he should just kick the bucket so he doesn;t have to worry about it anymore.

I concur. For someone who has help out so many thru his charitable efforts, you'd think he could get a little sympathy for falling on some hard times.

Fritzo,

You're a lifer, have in excess of 17K posts ... you know that this is the LAST place to come for sympathy. This place is worst that the Serengeti plains ... and you're the antilope that's for dinner.

oh god no! he might have to live in a *gasp* 2million dollar home!

that is certainly not "hard times". it's not in the same league, it's not even the same fscking sport.

if he couldn't sell his home for two years, then he was either, not trying hard enough, or holding out for too much. when you fall on hard times you might just have to take a hit. ask all the people that have had to pawn their stuff. when you need fast liquidity, you can't expect top dollar.

Not that I know a lot about him, but seems to be a decent guy falling on bad times. Not too smart though, if you went through one divorce why did you get married and divorce several times?

he's on his way out and is doing what's best for his kids probably, so why not screw the economy, the banks, government and hardworking people while you are at it? We all suffer because of people like this.

Yeah. Anyone that makes more in a year than what most Americans will make in a lifetime but still goes bankrupt garners no sympathy from me.

It's called economoy of scale. People who make millions tend not to live in small houses and drive small cars and wear clothes they bought at Target, FYI. They tend to spend beyond their means just like most middle class americans who swipe their credit cards even though they have nothing in savings.

You have no idea what you are talking about Casio. Just stop posting. As was said earlier, he like many americans who are out of jobs is unable to pay for his mortgage. He is one of millions who've been hurt by the lagging economy. Granted, he probaby should not have bought a 4.5 million dollar home, i don't think he could have foreseen he would break his neck and not be able to work.

again i reiterate, please stop posting.

Fixed.

Many, many, many millionaires live well within their means and many live relatively frugally. I'm sure you've heard the stories about the wealthy and the cars they drive.

I think the divorce settlements hurt him more than real estate.
