Ed Debevic's Restaurant (downtown Chicago)

Still Open?

I've never been there but my wife was telling me about it.
How they throw things and yell at you.

Sounds cool to me
Share your recent trip and decribe the atmosphere there and if it's the same as what my wife described.

Never been there. But as for other downtown restaurants, I love Shaw's Crab House (though I only go when my parent(s) are in town).

Tourist trap... avoid like the plague.

Basically you are paying to be treated like absolute shit... just don't see the attraction personally.

the ed debevics here in phoenix had pretty good food, the wait staff would sing to you occasionally and there were plenty of cute chicks walking around in skirts to ogle. i dont know if its still open tho, that was a while ago. good shakes too.

It is still open and I think it's a good time. I took my sister and niece there last time they came out to visit and you pay for the atmosphere pretty much. Food is not great and prices are a little high for the quality, but it's the show you're there to see, right?

It's still open, a coworker wanted to go when we were doing the Chicago show...it was okay. Neither here nor there, wasn't really that insulted nor was the food that good.
